When the Kaji family, of Honolulu, shared a video of their son, Ryan, with relatives, they had no idea that it would go viral – and launch a YouTube, TV and toy franchise worth millions.

Ryan Kaji, the 12-year-old star of the the YouTube channel Ryan's World, which has amassed over 37 million subscribers, appeared at the Momentary for a meet and greet with fans.

“Kids everywhere have already viewed Ryan’s World Pirate videos over a billion times,” said Amanda Klecker, senior VP of marketing and franchise at pocket.watch.
