Files” is headed to Pluto TV, becoming available beginning on New Year’s Day. Though the beloved, long-running sci-fi drama is already available to stream on Hulu and Disney+, its addition to Paramount-owned Pluto TV will make it completely free to watch with ad breaks.

For those unaware of Pluto's humble origins, the character did not begin life the way we know him now. The dog debuted in the 1930s with the shorts The Chain Gang and then The Picnic starring Mickey Mouse.

All 11 seasons of The X-Files, including the two reboot seasons, will be available on-demand on Pluto TV beginning Jan. 1, 2026. The show will also have a dedicated channel, which will first air a complete linear run of the entire series. After this concludes, the channel will feature curated marathons of the show.
