Nefarious game makers appear to be leveraging a chat-based Roblox exploit that results in automatic account bans for unsuspecting users.

Bad Cat is a cat simulator with the simple premise of escaping your home as a feline. You do so by destroying everything in sight and relishing in the devastated reactions of your pet parent.

Roblox is implementing fixes for a chat moderation exploit that resulted in a wave of automatic bans, but the offenders say there’s more to come.

“We thought our new 'Hack-A-Cat' game was a unique opportunity to inspire interest in cybersecurity for a younger audience using Roblox,” said Stu Sjouwerman, CEO of KnowBe4.
