In the latest Windows 10 Insider build, Microsoft has released a new version of Notepad that includes changes that bring it closer to what we have come to expect from modern text file editors.

Notepad will also remember previously entered values and the state of any checkboxes and automatically populate those when you open the find dialog.

Microsoft has released Windows 10 build 17666 from the RS5 branch. Among the changes are improvements to Sets, the clipboard, the dark theme, Notepad, search, Start, and Settings.

Windows 10 test build 17713 includes a bunch of new Notepad features, along with Edge, Defender Application Guard and other tweaks, fixes and updates.
