Produced by MGM, CABIN IN THE SKY ('43) was the first all-Black musical in nearly fourteen years and only the fourth all-Black film by a major studio since the coming of sound. A stacked cast, the film showcases performances from Lena Horne, Ethel Waters, Eddie "Rochester" Anderson, and Rex Ingram – with Waters and Ingram reprising their roles from the Broadway production. Legendary musician Louis Armstrong also makes a cameo as one of Lucifer Junior's minions, in addition to a musical showcase
