‘A Journey in Hope’ is the theme for this year’s National Novena to Our Lady of Knock, which takes place from August 14th to 22nd. Daily Ceremonies, with guest homilists and speakers , will take place at 3pm and 8pm in Knock Basilica. A stunning new mosaic depicting the Apparition at Knock in 1879 was unveiled in the Basilica at Knock Shrine, Co Mayo, on February 28th, 2016. Illustrated by P.J. Lynch and crafted by Travisanutto Mosaics, this is one of the largest, single, flat pieces of religious mosaic in Europe. | Knock Shrine

We are delighted to unveil this wonderful scale model of Knock village, exactly as it was on the day of the Apparition on the 21st of August 1879. The model is the work of Colin Patten of historymaker.ie and is a truly magnificently detailed depiction of the village. The model now forms a permanent part of the Knock Museum exhibition.
